Wounded Ministers Retreat for Clergy and Spouses

Course Description: The Wounded Ministers Retreat for Clergy and Spouses provides a relaxed atmosphere and confidential setting for healing and encouragement to ministers and their families who have experienced a forced termination, or for those in conflicts possibly leading to termination. Competent and compassionate leaders guide the journey toward wholeness and health. The retreat provides opportunities for counsel, practical information, sharing, and rest, that speak to the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of participants.
 
At this retreat you will find a safe and supportive place as you face the most challenging times of your ministry. This retreat offers clergy and their spouses the opportunity to renew, refresh, and nurture spirit, mind and body. Please join us—registration is limited.
 
Location: Sacred Heart Monastery, 916 Convent Road, Cullman, AL 35055
 
With: Michael Wilson, Beverley Buston, Bart Grooms, and Keri Burns
 
Schedule: The retreat begins July 10 at 2 PM and ends July 13 at 12:00 noon.
 
Program Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of $100 per person or $150 per couple will reserve your spot. This fee includes meals and housing. Limited financial aid is available to help with transportation and travel costs.
 
Housing: Rooms will be provided starting Monday evening. Check out is on Thursday.
 
COVID: All participants must be vaccinated and must follow the health and safety protocols established by the sisters at Sacred Heart Monastery. Please see the Sacred Heart Monastery website for the most up-to-date information.
 
Meals: Meals start with Monday dinner through Thursday breakfast

In order to qualify for CEUs in this course you must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Confirm that you have read the assigned text.
  2. Participated in the full course and all discussions.
  3. Completed any assignments, papers, and projects.
  4. Completed the course evaluation.
  5. Made a formal request for a CEU certificate.
