Course Description: The Wounded Ministers Retreat for Clergy and Spouses provides a relaxed atmosphere and confidential setting for healing and encouragement to ministers and their families who have experienced a forced termination, or for those in conflicts possibly leading to termination. Competent and compassionate leaders guide the journey toward wholeness and health through counsel, practical information, sharing, and rest, that speak to the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of participants.
 
At this retreat you will find a safe and supportive place as you face the most challenging times of your ministry. Please join us—registration is limited.

This wellness retreat is held at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. This retreat offers clergy and their spouses the opportunity to renew, refresh, and nurture spirit, mind and body.

Location: Samford University, 800 Lakeshore Drive, Birmingham, AL 35229

With: Michael Wilson, Beverly Buston, Mike Tate, Bart Grooms, and Keri Burns

Schedule: The retreat begins July 11 at 2:30PM and ends July 14 at noon.

Program Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of $100 per person or $150 per couple will reserve your spot. Limited financial aid is available to help with transportation and travel costs.

Housing: Rooms will be provided on campus starting Monday evening and checking out on Thursday. If you need to arrive on Sunday, please let us know ahead of time to confirm availability.

COVID: All participants must be vaccinated and must follow the health and safety protocols on the campus of Samford University and of the Center for Congregational Resources.

Meals: Meals start with Monday dinner through Thursday breakfast
