Wounded Ministers Retreat for Clergy and Spouses

Course Description: The Wounded Ministers Retreat for Clergy and Spouses provides a relaxed atmosphere and confidential setting for healing and encouragement to ministers and their families who have experienced a forced termination, or for those in conflicts possibly leading to termination. Competent and compassionate leaders guide the journey toward wholeness and health. The retreat provides opportunities for counsel, practical information, sharing, and rest, mindful of the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of participants.

Location: Sacred Heart Monastery, 916 Convent Road, Cullman, AL 35055

Schedule: The retreat begins Monday July 8 at 2:30 PM and ends Thursday July 11  at noon.

Program Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of $100 per person or $150 per couple will reserve your spot. Limited financial aid is available to help with transportation and travel costs. 

Housing: Rooms will be provided at the monastery starting Monday evening and checking out on Thursday. 

Travel: For those needing to fly, please arrive at the Birmingham airport no later than noon. Transportation from the airport will be coordinated after registration.

More specific driving instructions will be included in your registration confirmation email.

COVID: All participants must be vaccinated and must follow the health and safety protocols established by the sisters at Sacred Heart Monastery.

Meals: Meals start with Monday dinner through Thursday breakfast.

In order to qualify for CEUs in this course you must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Participated in the full course and all discussions.
  2. Completed any assignments, papers, and projects.
  3. Completed the course evaluation.
  4. Made a formal request for a CEU certificate.
