Course Description: Mentor coaching is offered to coaches committed to the development of their coaching skills and further advancement in the path toward International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification. This is a custom designed package which includes three group coaching sessions and four individual coaching sessions. Each participant must have completed an ACC ACSTH training program or be enrolled in one and be actively coaching at least 2 clients through the duration of the mentor coaching. These ten hours of mentor coaching fulfill the necessary requirements for the ACC credential through the ICF. 
 
OBJECTIVES:
  • To provide participants with coaching and feedback while you work toward the hours of client coaching required by the ICF. The mentor coach will work with you to strengthen areas of coaching to make you a more effective coach.
  • Enhance participant proficiency in using the core competencies expected of an ICF certified coach. Each participant will receive two written reports and verbal feedback on your coaching of clients.
  • Explore strategies and options for deepening your pool of potential clients within and outside of your current ministry context.
Participant are expected to attend in person; sessions are recorded and made available for reference.

With: Chris Holmes, PCC. Chris has been coaching church leaders across many denominations since 2008, with over 1000 hours coaching laity, clergy, denominational leaders and bishops. In the United Methodist Church, he leads the coaching team working with new district superintendents and directors of connectional ministry, and works widely in three other denominations in the US as well as the Church of Scotland and African University in Zimbabwe. Prior to coaching, he pastored churches for 26 years and served as District Superintendent of the Annapolis District in the Baltimore-Washington Conference.

Schedule: Participants will select one of the following Mentor Coach Groups at the time of registration:
  • GROUP A Wednesdays September 15 and October 20 and Tuesday November 30, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 NOON Eastern Time
  • GROUP B Wednesdays September 15 and October 20 and Tuesday November 30, 2021  from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time

Program Fee: $1500; $500 deposit due at registration. Participants will be invoiced for balance of $1000.00 by August 15, 2021. Extended payments may be arranged. Registrations cancelled before September 1st will recieve a refund of program fee minus $200 of the deposit.
 
Cancellations received 15 days or less before the first session will receive a refund of program fee minus the full $500 deposit.
